The day turned out to be a warm dry day with plenty of sunshine. We had quite a good turnout eight or more cars.  Two cars where to RTV and the rest were NTV.  We also had a new member turn up plus a lapsed membership who hasn't driven recently.
Look ray has a new car.  (Mr Chairman).
The first section was under the cover of trees.  The next two sections where in the open, and after completing, we then reversed them.  When we had complete them It was time for lunch.  In the afternoon we set off for another area with three sections, which also wary reversed.  This was time to loosen more points.  Time is no getting on and we headed back for the first section of the day which I had reversed first at lunchtime.  And this completed the day so we set off back to the car park for a brief presentation.  Results will be presented to the committee on Wednesday.

Trials Summery

The object of a 4x4 trial is to try and complete a series or ten short off-road courses without incurring penalties. The courses (usually referred to as SECTIONS) are marked out with ten pairs or canes (GATES), which are numbered on the driver’s side from 10-1.They are driven from gate 10 to gate 1 without leaving the course/hitting a cane or stopping.

Vehicles are classed on size (wheelbase) and tyres. There are different grades of course ranging from (tyro) easy and open to drivers from 13 years upwards, through (rtv) medium and (ntv) awkward, and (modified or expert) very bl**dy awkward. Our scrutineers are there to help you compete safely, and help insure we keep our excellent safety record, and marshals are always on hand with friendly advice (unless you out drive them)

Tyro's

If you are 13 years of age or over why not enter a Tyro trial. These trials are a very good way of entering motorsports, and are run under the guidelines set out by the MSA. The emphasis is on safe vehicle control, but this doesn’t mean it’s boring. You can use your own family 4x4 or parent’s trailer or comp motor. (Please ASK FIRST, as TWOC (Taken Without Owners Consent) is not encouraged and will probably not end well). If you haven’t access to a vehicle you may be able to borrow one of ours. MSA regulations and useful information (boring stuff) can be found in “Specific Regulations for Cross-country Events” particularly (47-54, 58. and 217-220) 2009 edition. .  If you’re interested please contact the MOC trials rep.
