More about us
Many members join before they have decided on which make or model they require.
By joining the MOC and attending our events you will be able to compare various marques and usually, actually see most of them in action, helping you to decide the best purchase for you.
First and foremost, youll be able to drive your 4X4 Offroad, on our selected sites around the Midlands, and also take part (and were sure you will want to compete, once the bug has bitten!!) in our fun and competitive trials and racing with other like-minded souls.
Youll have the opportunity (not open to many) to spend wonderful days out in the fresh air of our beautiful countryside, places where you may not normally have access to.
Youll make lots of new friends from all age groups and all walks of life, who are also interested in 4X4 vehicles. Friends who will willingly help and advise you on any 4X4 associated problems, and also, help you to learn to navigate Offroad correctly.
Youll have access to information, which isnt freely given out by local authorities, as they are not too keen to publicise the rights of way where you may legally drive your vehicle. The Midland Offroad Club has its own "rights of way" officer, whos aim is to keep records of the "green lanes" in our area, where you can drive, without problems. From experience, it is a long hard slog to obtain this kind of information from councils. The MOC also organises "Green Laning" where a group of vehicles navigate these roads together for a very interesting day out.
The Midland Offroad Club is a family club, So everyone is welcome.
However motorsport can be dangerous therefore we ask that you keep all children under strict parental control, particularly where trials and comps are being run.Dogs are also welcome provided they are kept on a lead at all times.
